Collectively around 60 years of Karate experience and both still enjoy teaching and are rewarded by students progress. Darren is a secondary School Teacher and looks after the Junior syllabus ( sport and life skills focused) while Jeff teaches adults a syllabus based around last resort self-defense.  Darren and Jeff also coach students that wish to involve themselves in the sport opportunity that karate presents having both been State and National All-styles Open Champions. Darren winning the Shotokan Karate International World Championship in Tokyo in 2006.

Kids love karate as an alternative sport to footy etc. At Northern Lakes Martial Arts they can involve themselves in competitions from Traditional karate right through to XMA which is an acrobatic performance complete with strobe lights.
